Lisa
began her career as a librarian, setting up and establishing the first fully
computerized information and research center in the Canadian Federal
Library System for the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) in 1988,
then taking positions as Chief Librarian at Investment Canada (IC) and the
Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). In 1995 Lisa joined Canada’s
SchoolNet initiative, and worked with SchoolNet National Advisory Board committees
to develop engagement strategies targeted to help Canada become the most
connected country in the world.
Lisa was recently recognized for her work by the CWC Jeanne Sauve Career Development
Program. IC-CWC Exchange Program is designed to foster professional and personal
growth for high potential business and government individuals, and strengthen
the relationship between the federal government and the Canadian communications
industry.
