Sarah
Burns |

Pace University
Sarah Burns is currently Assistant University Librarian for Instructional Services
at Pace
University. She earned her Master of Library Science from the University
at Albany, and a Master of Arts in Theology from Villanova University. Sarah
also currently serves as adjunct instructor for the Palmer School of Library
and Information Science at Long Island University's Westchester campus. Sarah's
interests and activities focus on the issues of Information Literacy, assessment,
and collaborating with faculty. Sarah presented at the LOEX of the West conference
on the use of course management software as a delivery tool for library instruction,
as well as library instruction for First Year Experience programs. She will present
in June 2003 at the AAHE Assessment Conference on the evolution of assessment
in the Pace University UNV 101 Library Instruction Program. During the 2003-2004
academic year, Sarah will be working with a group of colleagues including faculty,
staff and administrators to pilot an E-Portfolio program at Pace University.
In her spare time, Sarah
builds character by remaining a loyal fan of the New York Mets, and enjoys
traveling back
roads and discovering quirky places such as the National
Museum of Funeral History and the
UCM Museum.
